McIntire Madness Participation Update

The latest numbers are in! If we were having our own Final Four competition, we would have the following graduate classes playing: 2005, 2009, and 2006. We've also got a tie for our fourth team, the grad Class of 2008 and the undergrad Class of 2009. But, McIntire Madness doesn't ever eliminate a team, so you could rally your players from any year, grad or undergrad, and still become the McIntire Madness champion!

All gifts received by Midnight on Monday, April 5, will count toward the McIntire Madness competition. Remember, the class with the highest participation rate is named the Champion and will have bragging rights until next year. The MVP (selected at random) will be invited to join Dean Zeithaml in the McIntire suite for a home football game this fall.

To everyone that has already participated, thank you for your support! The McIntire Annual Fund is extremely important to the School. We simply would not have the program we have today without the support of our alumni and friends.

Participate in the McIntire Madness competition by making a gift at www.commerce.virginia.edu/McIntireMadness, and spread the word! We are measuring participation rates, so a gift of any size will ensure you are counted.

Last year the undergraduate Class of 2005 dominated the competition. But this year, it is any team's game. Below are the participation percentages by class, graduate and undergraduate, to-date:

U 2002 - 6.4%
G 2002 - 10.5%
U 2003 - 8.9%
G 2003 - 7.7%

U 2008 - 7.2%
G 2008 - 11.4%
U 2009 - 14.3%
G 2009 - 8.6%
